Stephen Curry is a famous American basketball player who represents Golden State Warriors. Stephen Curry named as one of the greatest shooter and most valuable player in NBA history. Curry led his team to win the consecutive NBA championship titles in 2017 and 2018. Stephen was the first player in NBA history to be selected as Most Valuable Player unanimously.
Early Life & Career
Stephen Curry full name is Wardell Stephen Curry II. He was born on 14 March 1988 in Akron city of Ohio State. Stephen Curry father Dell Curry was a former NBA player who played for Charlotte Hornets and Raptors. In childhood Curry father Dell took Stephe and his brother Seth to his basketball games, where Stephen and Seth Curry began learning the game tricks.
After few years Stephen Curry family moved to Toronto in Canada, Where Dell Curry played for Raptors team. In Canada, Stephen Curry played for the Queensway Christian College Boys basketball team and for club team Toronto 5-0.
After his father retired, Curry family moved back to Charlotte in the United States and Curry started playing for Davidson College team in North Carolina. As a freshman Curry performance was mesmerizing, He scored 32 points against Michigan Wolverines. Curry became a national sensation in his sophomore season, where he scored 33 points and led his team to won against Wisconsin Badgers team. In 2012-13 season Curry and Klay Thompson made a record by scoring most combined three-pointers in a season, which earned them a nickname “The Splash Brothers”. In this year Steph Curry established a new record by scoring 272 three-pointers individually.
In 2014-15 season Curry scored 286 three-pointers and led his team to won the first championship since 1975. In this same year, Curry was honoured with MVP(most valuable player) of the year by NBA. In the next season, curry helped his team to reach the finals but lost in the final match. Curry led his team to won the 2017 and 2018 championships twice in a row.
