Lake Bell is an American actress, model, director and screen writer. Her full name is Lake Siegel Bell. She is best known for her appearance in Television series Boston Legal, Children’s Hospital.

Lake Bell was born on 24 March 1979 in New York. She attended Chapin School in Newyork and Skidmore College. Bell attended to Rose Bruford College of Theatre & Performance in London. There she began her acting career with stage plays.

In 2002, Bell started her acting career with the film Speakeasy. She played lead role in psychological thriller film “I Love Your Work”. Bell played significant role in comedy television series Boston Legal from 2004 to 2005.

In 2008, Bell won Newport Beach Film Festival award for her extraordinary performance in the film “Under Still Waters”. Bell appeared in famous comedy web series Children’s Hospital, and also she directed two episodes in the fourth season.

In 2010, Bell wrote and directed a short film “Worst Enemy”. The film received overwhelming response and won Tony Cox Award.

In 2011, Bell appeared in romantic drama “No Strings Attached”, along Aston Kutcher, Natalie Portman. In 2013, Bell wrote, directed and co-produced her debut film “In a world”, and Bell won the Sundance Film Festival Award in the category of best screen play.

Besides acting she also lent her voice to animation characters. Bell appeared on various magazines such as Maxim, Esquire, New York and British Vogue.
