Alyssa Healy is an Australian female cricketer who plays for Australia women’s Domestic and International teams. Alyssa was born on 24 March 1990 in Gold Coast of Queensland. Healy full name is Alyssa Jean Healy.
Alyssa comes from cricket family, Alyssa father Greg Healy was a cricketer and Alyssa Healy husband Mitchell Starc was a fast bowler. Alyssa is the niece of former Australian cricketer Ian Healy.
Childhood
In her childhood, Healy was not shown interest towards cricket. Healy moved to Sydney from Queensland. As per her alma mater curriculum, she has to take one sport, so Healy chooses cricket as her sport.
Healy started playing cricket at the Carlingford Waratahs Club in New South Wales. In her childhood Healy played cricket with boys, at the age of 16 Healy was selected as wicket-keeper for Barker College First XI. It was the first time girl has been selected to play with boys in the school’s competition in New South Wales State.
Career
Healy stated that playing cricket with boys boosted her skills and tightened her technique. Alyssa Healy and her present teammate Ellyse Perry both had played against boys.
In 2007 Healy played Under-19 state competition in the New South Wales team. The following year Healy made her debut in Australian domestic cricket representing New South Wales Breakers. Later she became a full-time wicketkeeper for New South Wales.
At the age of 19, Alyssa Healy made her debut in International cricket against New Zealand in Rose Bowl series. Healy made her Test debut against England.
In 2012 Healy scored 90 runs against India, It was her career-best performance in T20. She was the part of ICC T20 Women’s World cup winning team in Sri Lanka. She played Ashes in 2015 and helped Australia to grab the series.
In 2015 Alyssa Healy signed with Sydney Sixers for Women’s Big Bash League. In 2018 Alyssa Healy made her first century by scoring 133 runs against Indian team in Vadodara. In this same year, Healy became captain for her domestic team New South Wales.

Alyssa has one elder sister, her name was Kareen Healy. She was died at the age of 15 due to cardiac arrest. Her family donated Kareen organs to help other peoples.

Alyssa Healy uncle Ian Healy was a former cricketer played for Australian team from 1988 to 1999. Ian had got the world record for the most Test dismissals in his name. Alyssa has three cousins from her uncle Ian Healy, Emma Healy, Laura Healy and Tom Healy. Alyssa cousin Tom Healy was a wicketkeeper, currently playing Australia U19 cricket.

Healy partner Mitchell Starc was a fast bowler in the Australian team. Alyssa and Mitchell Starc knew each other from the age of 9. They grew up playing cricket together. The couple got married in April 2016.
