Bruce Springsteen Family
Bruce Springsteen, the star singer and songwriter from New Jersey, USA. Bruce is well known for his poetic lyrics and known for his works with E Street Band. Bruce who also nicknamed as ‘The Boss’ because in his earlier days he is the one who arranged, collected and distributed the money for the band, however, he didn’t like the term ‘The Boss’.

Bruce Springsteen was born on 23rd September 1949 to the couple Douglas Frederic Springsteen and Adele Ann who lives in Freehold Borough, New Jersey. Bruce’s mom Adele Ann worked as a legal secretary and her salary was the major income source for the family as Bruce father Douglas Springsteen who worked as a bus driver was mostly unemployed.
His parents are from different ancestries as his father of Irish ancestry and his mother of Italian Ancestry. Bruce once said he was very close to his father and his parents had a great bonding and they lived 50 years together. His father Douglas Springsteen died at age of 73 in 1998.
Sisters
Bruce Springsteen has two young siblings, sisters, Virginia and Pamela. His sister Pamela is a Photographer. She had also taken photos of Bruce albums Human Touch, Lucky Town and The Ghost of Tom Joad.
His sister Virginia nicknamed as ‘Ginny’ actually the inspiration for the title track of his album ‘The River’. Ginny became pregnant in her high school days and married to her boyfriend and the couple had taken good care of their young family life and living happily now.

First Marriage
Bruce Frederic Joseph Springsteen married to the actress Julianne Phillips in 1985. Julianne is an American Model and actress. She is best known for her role as Frankie Reed in drama series Sisters. Bruce met Julianne first time during the ‘Born in the USA tour’ in October 1984. They were married in 1985 and however the marriage didn’t last more than 4 years. The couples got divorced in 1989. His unhappiness in this relationship expressed in his album Tunnel Love and in the song ‘ Light of the Day’.
Second Marriage
After the divorce from Julianne, Bruce married to her co-singer in the E Street Band, Patricia Scialfa in 1991. Patti Scialfa is an American singer, songwriter and guitarist. She inducted into Rock and Roll Hall of Fame from E Street Band. The couple currently lives in Colts Neck in New Jersey.
Children
Bruce and Patti have three children. The couple has two sons and a daughter. Their first child, son, Evan James Springsteen born on 25th July 1990 before they got married. After their marriage in 1991, Patti gave birth to her daughter Jessica Rae Springsteen on 30th December 1991. Their third child, son, Samuel Ryan Springsteen took birth on 5th January 1994.
