Chief Keef is an American rapper, producer and songwriter. His original name is Keith Farrelle Cozart. He is best known for his famous album Finally Rich. Chief Keef was one of the most controversial figure, he always invites troubles into his life.
Chief Keef was born on 15 August 1995 in Chicago. He was named after his uncle Keith Carter. Chief Keef mother Lolita Carter was just 16 years old when he was born. His family was financially constrained and He was raised by his mother and grandmother.
He began rapping from childhood. Keef used his mother’s karaoke machine and blank tapes to create his music. He dropped out of the school at the age of 15. Chief Keef was an aggressive guy and He always invites the troubles into his life.
His debut mixed tapes The Glory Road and Bang were released in 2011. Keef was noticed by local people in Chicago South Side with his karaoke songs. In 2011 Chief Keef was arrested by police for firing gunshots. Police filed the case as unlawful use of the weapon. He then repeatedly violated the police warnings and got arrested many times. Once he was put under house arrest for 30 days in his grandmother house. In that time he uploaded his songs on the Youtube and his videos got wide attention, Keef became popular and got offers from music recording companies.
Keef’s single I Don’t Like became a huge hit and every day it was played in Chicago night clubs. This song has stolen the attention of famous rapper Kanye West and he created the remix of the song.
In 2012, Keef released his debut album Finally Rich, It became popular and sold out more than 50,000 copies in the first week.
In 2013 Keef was featured on Kanye West song “Hold My Liquor” and in the same year, he released mixed tapes “Bang Part2” and “Almighty Sosa” which are received mostly negative reviews.
In 2014 Keef released his single track “Fuck Rehab” from “Bang3” album which was featured his cousin Mario. After few days Mario has died and keef released the Fuck Rehab video song and dedicated the track to Mario.
In 2015 Keef released 20 mixed track album “Sorry 4 The Weight”. Keef spent most of the year collaborating with other rappers and performing at concerts. In 2016 he announced his retirement from rapping. Despite the announcement, he released two mixed tape albums “Two Zero One” and “Dedication” in 2017.

In 2015 Keef had his first son named Krue Karter Cozart.
In 2015 a woman, who claimed that she became pregnant by Keef and gave birth to a baby boy. The DNA reports proved as Keef was the father, Then Keef took the responsibility of his second son.
