Tim Burton is an American filmmaker, animator, and artist known for his unique style and darkly imaginative films. He was born on August 25, 1958, in Burbank, California.

Burton began his career as an animator for Walt Disney Studios in the late 1970s. He worked on projects such as “The Fox and the Hound” and “The Black Cauldron” but felt stifled by the company’s creative limitations. He eventually left Disney and began directing his own films.

Burton is best known for his visually striking and often quirky films, including “Beetlejuice,” “Edward Scissorhands,” “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” and “Corpse Bride.” He often collaborates with actor Johnny Depp and composer Danny Elfman.
